Soul People, Cortona Italy, 24 March 2007

Now over to our on the spot reporter, Nancy Soultastic, with words and footage from Soul People.

Saturday, March 24 we had a dance in the club, Route 66, in Cortona (AR) Italy, featuring Soul and Italian Beat music, with guest DJs Cristina from Arezzo, Mr. Lele from Perugia, and Piergiorgio from Genova. Cristian from Gambettola was unwell and couldn't make it, unfortunately.

Cortona is an Etruscan hill town in Tuscany, just 10 minutes away from Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, where the weekend-long party Hot Mod Summer takes place. In the warmer months this picturesque town is a tourist attraction, visited by many thousands of Americans and Europeans.

Here are some photos taken at the dinner we had with friends before the dance, held at Seven in Camucia di Cortona, as well as photos taken at the club Route 66, located down in a basement that dates back to pre-Roman times.
