All Saints social programme 2011

As you can see, besides the allnighters and the concerts a host of different activities are scheduled for what we call the social programme of the All Saints weekender. In addition to the exhibitions, the banquet dinner and the enogastronomic tour, two tournaments and a brief scooter run around the mountain landscape of Lavarone are also planned. This year a historical talk on Lavarone during the First World War has also been added.

The Bowling Tournament is now a classic of the Allsaints weekender. Scheduled on Sunday afternoon this time at the Triangolo Bowling club, has always been an occasion of fun and enjoyment and a different way of getting together. The first prize consists of a free weekend ticket for All Saints 2012!

The History of Lavarone 1915 -1918
By Wolfgang Dirrigl

The idea of an historical talk on Lavarone during the First World War came to Wolfgang time ago, reflecting on Malcolm X remarks in 1964 on the importance of knowing history in order to "understand the present and be better prepared for the future". "Lavarone is famous in the scene for a big mod weekend that attracts people from all over Europe – says Wolfgang – but very few of the attendees know that during the First World War this place was a big bloody battlefield. Lots of great-great grandfathers and great-grandfathers of people coming for the weekender and party fought against each other at that time. Now we can share good moments and have fun all together in the same place that was theatre of great battles less than 100 years ago. That is a very nice thing. So I thought it was interesting to talk and discuss about that". Wolfgang’s talk is scheduled on Saturday 29 October at the Triangolo before the concert of Blues Flames.
