G.J. QUINTET (ITALY)G.J. Quintet is composed of young jazz-sters with a profound passion for Blue Note jazz and for the hard boppers that since the 60's mastered the art such as Horace Silver, Art Blakey and Lee Morgan. Their steaming set includes mixtures of boogaloo and swing maintaining the bluesy vibe that has always been the driving force in Modjazz. They will be playing on Friday 30th October during the All Saints banquet dinner at the Cluny Restaurant & Pub and it’s a real pleasure to have them as our guests in Lavarone.
MIKE PAINTER 5TET & VIOLA ROAD (ITALY)This is a super quintet not to be missed! We are very happy to have scheduled them for this edition of our weekend for the live act of the Saturday afternoon. Viola Road's soulful voice and the Hammond organ played by Mike Painter are the keystones of the Mike Painter 5Tet & Viola Road project and its new line up. Madly in love with vintage clothes and black music, Viola Road joined Mike’s band after a brief period spent with the Italian soul band B.E.S.T. Mike Painter, a composer and Hammond player from Milan, began his career in the early eighties as member of the legendary mod-beat band "Four By Art". Mike then formed mod-soul group "The Investigators”, the pop-soul ensemble "Il Santo" and then "Mr. Tokyo & Beat Goes On", a ska-rocksteady flavoured offshoot of Il Santo. After many years spent in different bands he launched his first solo project: "Mike Painter and the Family Shakers". Now is the time for another project inspired by Booker T. & the MG's, Jimmy McGriff, Barbara Lynn and Shirley Bassey. They will bring us a rich blend of sublime Hammond leads, cool modern jazz sounds and soul! WOW!

THE ROADRUNNERS (AUSTRIA)This band is dynamite! The Roadrunners from Graz are a five pieces teenbeat garage combo, directly out of the cave!! Screamin' voice meets fuzzy guitar and stomping drums!! A sound-mixture between the Gruesomes, the Sonics and the Stomachmouths!! Let's go wild and twist to the red eyed Monkey!!! We are very pleased to bring them to you live in Lavarone for the first time in Italy and we are looking forward to seeing them in action at the Triangolo on Saturday afternoon! YEAH!YEAH!YEAH!!
